Center for Cybersecurity Education Offers Free Lecture

Here's an interesting offering from our Center for Cybersecurity Education. UD offers several degree options in cybersecurity, including MBA and MS degrees.  Contact an advisor to find out more.

The University of Dallas Center for Cybersecurity Education recently announced the latest event in the Ellis Technology Management Lecture Series, the Cyber Citizen Forum.

For this forum, the University of Dallas is partnering with the United States Department of Homeland Security and the Fort Worth Police Department to hold a two-hour seminar on current Cybersecurity issues, trends and the future of cybersecurity education and careers. The forum is open to the public and is free, but registration is required as space is limited. Two hours of CPE credit will be awarded to attendees by the University of Dallas.

Being safe online is more than just purchasing and installing security hardware, software and creating a secure password. It's about awareness and training for Americans so we can protect and defend our personal and business electronic footprint. Criminals both foreign and domestic are working every minute of every day to obtain your electronic information and use it for their own financial benefit. At this session, you will learn important lessons on how to protect your online information, and how to help friends and family become aware of the importance of protecting their own personally identifiable information (PII) when using the Internet.
